These are my full set grips since June 2022, and I have not noticed any decline in performance since then. I have supreme confidence in trying to crush a drive or hitting a mid iron out of deep rough.
The hexagonal pattern along with the proprietary multi textured surface gives you peace of mind knowing you have a solid and secure grip. This pattern fits my hand perfectly and gives me the feeling of complete control over the club.
It is rather concerning that a few reviews have complained about the grip getting loose or the grip wearing down after a few months. I’m going to be honest, it’s not as comfy as the Tour Velvet grip or other top tier Winn or Golf Pride grips. But for ¼ of the price, it may only be a tier below and is still worth it in my opinion. The Champkey Traction-X grip delivers a good golf grip. It’s not the best golf grip on the market, but for those of us who love a good value, it excels and even will save you money to splurge on that fancy course down the road you always wanted to play.
It performs decently close to any Tour Pride or Winn grip that I have ever used. It may be a small tier below the top grips in the game but for 1/4 of the price, seems like a no brainer to me.
I can confidently say I haven’t noticed a drop off in my game from switching Tour Pride grips to the Champkey Traction-X.
If I got to redesign these grips, I would make them out of a different rubber to maximize the shock absorption on the mishits. Outside of that, these are a great alternative to Winn or Tour Pride grips and can save you $100+ per grip set!

The alignment ridge takes a range session or two to get used to, but I think could be an asset for all handicaps. It gives you supreme confidence in your grip and club alignment to the ball. It should help you hit more accurate shots almost immediately, something high handicaps struggle with is having a grip that is too closed or open leading to inaccurate shots.
The only negative I noticed is that my grip felt odd when opening or closing my clubface on chip/pitch shots. These grips also wouldn’t work well for adjustable woods that use the shaft to adjust loft, draw/fade bias, etc.

These grips are among the most comfortable grips I have ever used in my life! Once you get used to the alignment ridge, the grips toe the line perfectly between feel and comfort. They are soft enough to not be hard on the hands, but firm enough so that you don’t feel like your losing control of the grip at impact. This allows for moderate feedback without feeling like your hands get “stung” on a shot off the toe or heel.

The leather will not wear out over time, but rather will adapt to you. The lifespan of the leather grips will ultimately depend on how well you maintain them. You need to keep your grips clean from dirt or debris, wipe them with a warm water dampened towel 1-2 times a month at minimum.

I have not used the Cross Comfort Grips long enough to verify this, but the only major con I could come up with is the amount of reviews doubting the durability of the club.
