How We Picked And Tested

We tested each synthetic glove independently with hundreds of swings, from drivers on the range to the delicate pitch shots around the green. We also went through thousands of reviews on Amazon, Rock Bottom Golf, Golf Galaxy, manufacturers website, etc. to help further validate our ratings.

Below are the top 5 most important factors we considered when ranking synthetic golf gloves.

Performance
– How does it perform in all conditions a golfer may face in a round of golf? Does it give you the confidence to swing freely to go hunting for that tucked pin? Does it fit snugly and not slip at all during the swing? Performance is the most important factor for a golf glove in our rankings.

Comfort
– Does it feel like a second skin? Do you even notice that you have a glove on or is it pulling at your palm or fingertips? We value comfort very highly because you need to be able to swing confidently and not think about the glove.

Price
Is the glove priced fairly compared to the quality of the glove? We understand everyone has different price points and do extensive research to ensure that our recommendations are great value golf gloves.

Durability
We research and validate that these gloves are of good quality and will last as long as expected. No one has the time or money to continuously buy golf gloves, we value gloves that are made of high quality materials that last all conditions golfers will face (sweat, rain, mud/dirt, etc.)

Style
– A very minor ranking factor, but to some golfers it greatly matters how the golf glove looks. No one wants an extremely ugly looking glove, and a sharp looking glove will give you confidence throughout the round. They always say- Look good, Feel good, Play good.

Footjoy weathersof Glove review

The FootJoy WeatherSof golf glove combines revolutionary performance with a consistent, soft feel to deliver one of the best value synthetic golf gloves on the market.

You can currently find this glove for around $20 for a 2 pack on Amazon, giving you superior performance for half the price!

How this glove isn’t $20 per glove still blows my mind. The value is too good to pass up.

This glove is a high quality mixture of leather and synthetic materials. Leather on the thumb and palm for maximum feel and high quality synthetic leather elsewhere for great durability under all conditions.

Thanks to the exclusive FiberSof material from Footjoy, this glove has a snug, comfortable fit that will have you swinging confidently at flagsticks.

I’ve noticed my hand has stayed cooler than most golf gloves thanks to the breathable mesh along the knuckles and perforated holes on the fingers.

This glove is one of the more popular golf gloves out there among weekend golfers as it has 4.7/5 stars on Amazon and 4.8/5 stars on Global Golf with over 90 million gloves manufactured!

FootJoy WeatherSof = Best Value Golf Glove on the Market

The feel and comfort of the WeatherSof glove are identical to its big brother the StaSof glove. I used the StaSof glove during my competitive years of high school golf compared to now using the WeatherSof glove for the past 5+ years, I have not noticed any dropoff in performance or durability.

The glove has exceptional durability for the price.

I golf about 18 holes a week from April- September in the Midwest and usually get a pair of these gloves to last a full season and sometimes up to a season in a half!

If you want the best value glove on the market, go get the WeatherSof Glove today!

Best Synthetic golf Glove under $10 – PUMA Golf Men’s Flexlite Golf Glove

It’s Best For: Golfer who wants a stylish, high performing golf glove for under $10!

Pros:
Highly engineered stay grip palm for secure grip throughout the golf swing
Advanced synthetic leather along with 4 way stretch lycra provides extreme comfort and flexibility
A long lasting, quality glove that will last longer than other gloves at the same price point.
Cons:
Glove fits a little looser than most would like it
Palm of glove gets discolored easily
Grip seems to deteriorate in humid or wet conditions. Not the best glove for warmer climates.

PUMA Golf Men’s Flexlite Review

Don’t be fooled by the price point. The Puma Flexlite Glove is a high performance, lightweight glove that provides great grip with Puma’s engineered stay grip on the palm. I was impressed with Puma, they are not known for their gloves and created one of the better value golf gloves on the market with the Flexlite glove.

The Flexlite glove has outstanding grip. I felt supreme confidence in every shot from trying to crush a driver downwind to a delicate pitch shot on a short sided green. The glove never slipped and it felt like I had complete control of the clubface, even chopping out of thick rough.

The Flexlite glove has advanced synthetic leather with 4-way stretch lycra with perforated fingers to provide the ultimate comfort and feel that is perfect for all climates. Luckily (some would say unlucky), living in the Midwest we get to golf in every climate possible. I did not notice any discomfort playing in cool fall weather as well as the hot, humid days of summer.

The glove has held up very well, showing little sign of wear after about 10 rounds of golf. Most reviews were in line with my findings that the Puma Flexlite glove holds up remarkably well for a sub $10 glove. So if you are looking for a great synthetic glove that’s extremely affordable, pick up a Flexlite glove today!

Puma has known to be trendsetters with style as well in the golf market, and this glove certainly follows suit. The sharp dual colored glove has a perfect contrast of light and dark on the back. Paired with the great comfort of the Flexlite glove, this glove is an absolute steal for budget golfers.

Durability issues for some golfers

Vice Golf Dura Glove Review

The Vice Golf Dura Glove was the biggest surprise out of all the gloves we researched. The Vice Dura glove has several different sharp looking styles to please every golfer. The simple, sharp looking all white glove to the modern dual colored options offer something eye catching for every age of golfer.

The grip and feel of the glove is what made this a premium pick in our eyes. It’s premium synthetic suede fabric offered a comfortable feel while ensuring the best grip on the club throughout the swing. It performed this way in all weather conditions, from sunny and 75 to windy and rainy.

The patches of leather on the inside of the glove provide great durability and comfort. The Dura glove lasted as long as any other synthetic glove we tested thanks to their reinforced seams and strong synthetic fabric.

The Vice Golf Dura White Glove is an excellent choice for golfers who want a high-quality glove that provides both comfort and performance. Its sleek design and durable construction make it a must own for any golfer who want to both look good and play good.

Vice Golf Dura Glove = High performing, best looking glove on the market!

Overall, I found the Vice Golf Dura White Glove to be a high-quality and reliable golf glove that performs well in all weather conditions. Its combination of materials provides durability, comfort, and breathability, while the textured palm enhances grip. The glove’s stylish design is an added bonus.

Best Hot Weather Synthetic Golf Glove- Under Armour Medal

It’s Best For: Golfer who Fights Sweaty Hands or who Plays in Hot, Humid Conditions

Pros:
Synthetic materials are very lightweight, breathable, and fast drying. Kept hand dry on hot, humid days.
Textured palm for enhanced grip throughout the swing.
Great value, get a premium synthetic golf glove at a budget price!
Cons:
Synthetic Gloves do not have quite the feel that premium cabretta leather gloves have
Sizing runs a bit big, you may have to order a size down.
Dual toned style of glove may be unappealing, not the most stylish glove.

Under Armour Medal Golf Glove

The Medal Golf Glove has a textured palm for an enhanced grip, lightweight materials that are breathable, and synthetic materials that are comfortable and durable.

As far as synthetic gloves go, this is one of the better performing gloves that I have come across. In my opinion it is just as good as the premium synthetic Footjoy or Titelist gloves, but at half the price!

Under Armour made a superior synthetic glove made for hot and humid conditions. I’m usually one to have to take my glove off in between shots and wipe my hands on the towel once or twice a hole to keep them dry.

I did not have this experience with the Under Armour Medal Glove. In fact, I golfed 2 hot, humid days in late July and was able to keep the glove on the whole time with minimum sweat!

I did not lose any feel or grip during those hot summer days, I felt like I had complete control over the golf club. I was simply amazed at the moisture wicking technology this glove had to offer.

The only major negative of this golf glove is the fact that it is a synthetic glove and lacks the feel a cabretta leather golf glove offers. However, it is worth the tradeoff in my opinion if you struggle with hot, sweaty hands to not have to worry about constantly taking your glove off and wiping your hands off on a towel.

Under Armour Medal Glove = Best Glove for Hot, Humid Conditions

The Under Armour Mens Medal Glove is a great glove that delivers amazing feel and comfort while being extremely lightweight for maximum breathability. It is the best glove on the market for hot, sweaty hands and I would recommend buying to avoid the hassle of constantly having to wipe your hands off on towels or switching gloves midround due to moisture.

For $12, it is one of the cheaper synthetic gloves on the market and a great deal for those struggling with sweaty hands!

4.4

Best Gripping Synthetic Golf Glove- FootJoy RainGrip Pair

It’s Best For: Golfer Who Wants Superior Grip While Keeping Dry in Wet Conditions

Pros:
Water resistant QuikDry II knit material provides great feel, breathability, and quick drying comfort during rainy conditions
Autosuede knit palm provides one of the better grips I’ve ever experienced! Great fit in wet and humid conditions, providing a secure grip and maximum control throughout the swing.
Durable gloves that are great for hot and humid conditions as well as rain! Great for sweaty hands, these gloves will outlast majority of leather gloves.
Comes in a pair so both hands can stay dry during the rainiest days! Your grip seems to enhance as the more moisture gets on your gloves and golf grips.
Cons:
Gloves are not insulated, hands will get cold in chilly fall/winter conditions
Stitching may cause small blisters on the inside of the palm. I haven’t experienced it, but reading through reviews several golfers have complained about it.
We have found the grip isn’t the greatest in dry conditions. You may need to get the palm of your glove slightly wet to maximize the grip on the club.

Footjoy Raingrip Pair

I promise this post isn’t sponsored by FootJoy. There’s a reason they are the #1 glove brand in golf, and it shows with the highly established RainSof Golf Gloves. The wetter the glove and club grip got, the better my grip on the club became!

There’s a reason the RainSof Gloves have been the gold standard for Golf Rain Gloves for years now. They are the best rain glove in the game, the RainSof glove feels closer to a normal synthetic glove than a rain glove. That can’t be said about the other rain gloves we have tested.

The magic behind the glove is the wetter the glove and club grip became, the stickier the glove felt! At no point did I feel like the club was going to slip in my swing, giving me complete confidence I could hit it where I was aiming.

The grip felt great in wet conditions, and the glove was thin enough to still have great feel on the more delicate pitch shots. The feel on these gloves are top notch, I actually putted great with them on (I always take my glove off to putt) to avoid having to get my hands wet from taking the gloves on and off.

My hands stayed comfortable and dry every time I have played in the rain with these gloves. I no longer feel like my game is hurt by a few strokes due to the rain. Thanks to these gloves I am extremely confident my next round in the rain can be a career low round!

The only thing I did not like about these gloves is that they do not perform well in dry conditions. I had to get them slightly wet to “activate” the grip. They are also not the most insulated, so your hands may get cold if it happens to be a cold, rainy day.

Best Synthetic Golf Glove for Big Hands- Callaway Men’s Weather Spann

It’s Best For: Golfers with large hands who want a quality glove

Pros:
Premium Japanese synthetic material provides amazing feel and flexibility while being durable
4 way Stretch synthetic material is moisture wicking and provides great breathability and flexibility
Reinforced Palm patches reinforce grip in all weather conditions while increasing durability
Perforations on the palm and top of glove reduce moisture and increase breathability
Cons:
Some reviews complained about quality, had some gloves rip in the seams or have a hole after 4-5 rounds.
Glove sizing chart is off, will likely have to order one size larger.
Glove blackens due to dirt quickly on the palm

Callaway weather spann glove

Being a tall guy with larger hands (usually XL glove, sometimes XXL), sometimes its hard to find a good fitting golf glove. The Weather Spann passes the test with flying colors. The glove fits amazing, it feels like a second skin that’s directly connected to the club as you try to crush a driver down the right side of the fairway.

The propieratary Japanese synthetic FUSETECH material and micro-ventilation delivers maximum comfort, feel and fit into a highly durable glove. Reinforced Palm Patch for maximum grip. I always felt like I had complete control over the clubface, even in rainy conditions or hacking it out of deep rough.

It does not feel like a bulky synthetic glove that are around this price point. Instead, it feels like you are hitting a quality cabretta leather glove. No need to worry about the glove stretching or getting hard and crusty, this glove feels the exact same after 5 weeks of regular play.

There are surprisingly no durability issues as well, the glove looks and feels the exact same, even after using corded grips for 5 straight weeks! This glove has been impressive and I highly recommend it. At it’s price point, the Weather Spann glove is one of the better deals you can find!

Summary

The Weather Spann Glove is very comfortable, has premium Japanese materials for increased flexibility and feel, perforations on top of the hand and palm for moisture reduction and increased breathability, and increased material in the palm and thumb for maximum feel and durability

For $12, it is one of the cheaper synthetic gloves out there and a good deal!

The few cons of this glove are a few golfers complaints of the glove wearing down faster than other synthetic gloves, the velcro struggles to hold with a big overlap, and the glove stains easily.
