Best Golf Glove to wear with a Watch- Titelist Players

The Titleist Players golf glove has been trusted by many tour pros over the years, often wearing a sponsored Rolex or some sort of smartwatch to help track their health metrics.

The Players glove has premium tanned cabretta leather with well-thought, precisely placed seams. The leather is ultra thin yet durable, giving you maximum feel and performance for your game.

It also utilizes proprietary, breathable fabric for the best comfort and support a glove can offer. It is also reinforced with stain at the cuff and thumb for maximum durability and strength.

There’s a reason it has 4.8/5 stars out of 1662 ratings on Amazon. If you want the glove that tour pros and the best amateurs trust, get a Titelist Players golf watch.

Best Value Golf Glove to wear with a Watch- FootJoy Weathersof

The FootJoy WeatherSof glove has been a long-trusted glove because of its performance and durability at a shockingly low price. For $10 a glove, you get superior performance while getting one of the cheaper gloves on the market. I have been using FootJoy WeatherSof gloves for the past few years for this reason.

The WeatherSof glove delivers the consistent, soft feel that many golfers have been used to with buying FootJoy gloves over the years.

The glove has a great track record (90 million manufactured!) with 4.7/5 stars out of 25,709 ratings on Amazon.

I have personally had no issues wearing a watch with the WeatherSof glove on. It is made of premium synthetic leather with Cabretta Leather in the thumb and palm patch for maximum feel and performance.

Lowest Cost Golf Glove to wear with a Watch- Kirkland Signature Leather Golf Glove

The Kirkland Golf glove aka the “Costco” golf glove is one of the best deals on the market with it’s 4 pack for $30.

It’s premium cabretta leather gives good grip and feel, but not as good as top brands such as Footjoy and Titelist. The comfort is good, but however seemed to be inconsistent across each glove in the 4 pack brand.

If you are looking to spend as little as possible on a glove that you can wear with a watch, the Kirkland Signature Golf Glove is your go-to glove.

In my experience, the Kirkland glove is more suited for the high handicapper who isn’t extremely picky about his glove having an exact fit or general tackiness that the more expensive gloves offer.

However, for $2 more per glove, I would highly recommend the FootJoy WeatherSof golf glove. WeatherSof gloves are better quality, better performance, and longer lasting than the Kirkland gloves.

Kirkland Golf Glove = Decent Quality for Great Price

If you are pinching pennies and do not need premium performance out of your golf glove, this is the glove to get. It offers cabretta leather and you can often buy a 4 pack of these at the same price as 1 premium Titleist or FootJoy glove.

Other Golf Gloves to Consider with wearing a watch

  • Callaway Tour Authentic has had great reviews with AppleWatch owners

cons of wearing a watch while golfing

There are only a few cons that can be found for wearing a watch while golfing.

As if the infamous golfer’s sock tan wasn’t bad enough, getting a watch tan could be a big turnoff for a large number of golfers.

Wearing a watch could actually cause you to lose some distance, as shown by this study done by MyGolfSpy. It shows that you could lose some distance by losing some mobility in your wrist due to the watch.

If you have a mechanical watch, the mechanisms in the watch could be damaged due to the vibrations of the ball strike and the sudden accelerations of the golf swing.

Solutions to apple watch issues with wearing a golf glove

  • Loosen watch and move it up arm slightly to avoid interference with glove
  • For Apple watch, flip the watch so digital crown button is pointing away from glove
  • Wear Apple watch on opposite hand while golfing
  • Take watch off while you golf
  • For Apple Watch, turn on Water lock while you are playing
  • Use corded golf grips or athletic tape instead of golf gloves. Check out this article for more information on golf glove alternatives.
